Features & Key Specifications of Our LSA Series:
Precise In-line Speed Regulation:
The knurled adjustment knob allows for sensitive, fine-tuned control of the air flow, while the lock nut prevents accidental changes to the setting.
Uni-Directional Flow Control:
An arrow marked on the body clearly indicates the direction of controlled flow (metering). Flow in the opposite direction is unrestricted, passing freely through the internal check valve.
Convenient Mounting Holes:
Equipped with two mounting holes, the LSA can be securely fastened to a machine frame, panel, or bracket for a stable installation.
Instant Push-to-Connect Design:
The one-touch fitting ports on both ends allow for quick and easy connection of nylon or polyurethane tubing.
Full Range of Metric & Imperial Sizes:
We offer a complete selection of sizes to connect both metric (4mm-12mm) and imperial (5/32"-1/2") tubing.
Customization and OEM Options:
We offer custom colors for the body and release sleeve and can feature your company logo on the fittings to meet your OEM requirements (subject to MOQ).
Application Fields
Ideal for Remote or In-line Speed Control:
Pneumatic Cylinders & Actuators: Controlling the speed of an actuator from a more accessible point in the pneumatic circuit.
Controlling Air Motor Speed: Regulating the speed of small pneumatic motors or tools.
Timed Delays: Can be used in conjunction with a reservoir to create simple pneumatic time delay circuits.
Machine Building: Integrating speed control neatly into the main tubing runs of a machine.
Technical & Selection Guide
In-line (LSA) vs. Elbow (LSC) Speed Controller
Choose an In-line (LSA) Speed Controller when you need to install the control valve in the middle of a tube run, away from the final component. Its mounting holes make it ideal for panel or frame mounting.
Choose an Elbow (LSC) Speed Controller when you want to control the speed directly at the cylinder or valve port. This is the most common method for direct cylinder speed control.
Understanding the Flow Arrow: The arrow on the body indicates the direction of controlled (restricted) flow. To achieve "meter-out" control on a cylinder, you should install the LSA in the exhaust line so the arrow points away from the cylinder.
FAQ
Frequently Asked questions
Q: What does the arrow on the valve body mean?
A: The arrow shows the direction of controlled flow. Air flowing in the direction of the arrow will be restricted by the needle valve. Air flowing against the arrow will bypass the needle and flow freely.
Q: What does "SA 08" mean?
A: "SA" typically stands for an In-line Speed Controller. "08" means it is designed for 8mm OD tubing on both sides.
Q: Can I use this to completely shut off the air flow?
A: While turning the knob all the way down will block most of the flow in the controlled direction, it is not designed to be a positive shut-off valve. For a true on/off function, a dedicated hand valve or stop fitting should be used.
