• What information do I need to provide to get a quote?

To provide you with an accurate quote, please provide the full part number if you know it. If not, please provide the product series, key specifications (like port size, voltage, or tube diameter), and the quantity you require. The more details you can provide, the faster we can respond.

  • Do you offer international shipping?

Yes, we ship our products worldwide. We work with major international carriers to ensure reliable and timely delivery to your location. Please provide your full delivery address when requesting a quote so we can include the shipping options and costs.

  • What is your warranty policy?

All Pneutech products are warranted against defects in material and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of shipment. This warranty does not cover damage from misapplication, improper installation, or normal wear and tear.

  • Do you offer discounts for bulk orders?

Yes, we offer volume-based pricing for larger quantity orders. Please contact our sales team with your required quantity to receive a competitive quote.

  • What is the difference between NPT and BSPP (G) threads? Are they interchangeable?

NPT and BSPP (G) threads are not interchangeable. NPT is a tapered thread that is the standard in North America. BSPP (G) is a parallel (straight) thread that seals with an O-ring or gasket and is the standard in Europe, Asia, and most other parts of the world. Please ensure you select the correct thread type for your system.

  • How do I choose between a 3/2-way and a 5/2-way solenoid valve?

Use a 3/2-way valve (like our 3V series) to control a single-acting cylinder (which has one air port and a spring return). Use a 5/2-way valve (like our 4V series) to control a double-acting cylinder (which has two air ports to control both the extend and retract strokes).

  • When should I choose a stainless steel fitting over a plastic or brass one?

You must choose a stainless steel fitting for applications in the food & beverage industry, for pharmaceutical or medical use, in corrosive chemical environments, or in areas with frequent high-pressure washdowns. For general industrial automation, plastic or brass are often suitable.

  • What is the difference between a direct-acting and a pilot-operated solenoid valve?

A direct-acting valve can operate from 0 pressure but typically has a lower flow rate. A pilot-operated valve requires a minimum system pressure to operate but can control a much higher flow rate for its size.

  • My pneumatic cylinder is moving too fast. How can I slow it down?

The best way to control cylinder speed is to use a speed controller (also known as a flow control valve). By restricting the air exhausting from the cylinder (meter-out control), you can achieve smooth and adjustable speed.

  • Why is there water in my air lines?

Water is a natural byproduct of compressing air. As the hot, compressed air cools down in your pipes and receiver tank, the water vapor in it condenses into liquid. To remove this water, you must install an air filter or a filter-regulator (FR unit) just before your pneumatic components.

  • My solenoid valve coil burned out. What is the most common cause?

The most common causes of coil failure are incorrect voltage (e.g., applying 220V AC to a 24V DC coil), persistent over-voltage, or a mechanical obstruction that prevents the valve's plunger from fully shifting, which causes the coil to draw excessive current. Always ensure your power supply matches the coil's specifications.

  • What does an IP65 rating mean?

IP65 is an Ingress Protection rating. The '6' means the enclosure is completely dust-tight. The '5' means it is protected against low-pressure jets of water from any direction. This makes it suitable for most industrial environments and washdown procedures.
