Features & Key Specifications of Our LPL Series:
360° Swivel Body for Easy Installation:
The swivel elbow design allows the body of the fitting to rotate freely around the threaded stud. This means you can tighten the thread first, then easily align the tubing connection to the perfect angle.
Space-Saving 90-Degree Design:
The elbow configuration allows tubing to run parallel to the mounting surface, saving space and creating a neater, more professional-looking pneumatic circuit.
Universal Thread Availability (NPT, BSPP, BSPT):
To ensure global compatibility, all our LPL fittings are available in the three major international standards: NPT, BSPP (G), and BSPT (R/PT).
Instant Push-to-Connect Design:
Simply push the nylon or polyurethane tube into the fitting for an immediate, secure, and leak-proof seal.
Full Range of Metric & Imperial Sizes:
We offer a complete selection of sizes, connecting metric tubing from 4mm to 16mm and imperial tubing to a full range of thread sizes.
Customization and OEM Options:
We offer custom colors for the release sleeve and can feature your company logo on the fittings to meet your OEM requirements (subject to MOQ).
Application Fields
The Ideal Connector for Angled Connections:
Cylinder Port Connections: The most common application, allowing tubing to exit the cylinder ports cleanly at a 90-degree angle.
Valve & Manifold Plumbing: Perfect for routing multiple tubes from a valve bank or manifold in an organized way.
Cabinet & Enclosure Wiring: Routing pneumatic lines neatly inside control cabinets.
Robotics & Moving Components: The swivel function is excellent for connections to components that may experience slight movement or require precise initial alignment.
Technical & Selection Guide
Why Use a Swivel Elbow?
Convenience: A swivel fitting is significantly easier to install than a fixed elbow. You don't have to worry about the direction the fitting is facing when you tighten the thread. This saves immense time and frustration, especially when working in tight spaces.
Prevents Over-tightening: With a fixed elbow, installers might be tempted to over- or under-tighten the thread just to get the correct alignment, which can lead to leaks or damage. The swivel design eliminates this problem.
FAQ
Frequently Asked questions
Q: What does "PL 08-02" mean?
A: This is a standard industry code. "PL" indicates a Male Elbow. "08" means it is for 8mm OD tubing. "02" means the thread is 1/4". The specific thread type (NPT, BSPP, or BSPT) would be indicated by a suffix.
Q: Does the fitting swivel under pressure?
A: No. The swivel function is designed for easy positioning during installation. Once the system is pressurized, the fitting is designed to remain in its set position.
Q: I need NPT threads for my application in the USA. Are these available?
A: Yes, absolutely. All our threaded push-in fittings, including the LPL series, are available with NPT threads to meet the North American standard.
