Features & Key Specifications
Features & Key Specifications of Our 2WH Series:
High Pressure Capability (up to 20 Bar):
Specifically designed for systems that operate above standard industrial pressures, providing reliable on-off control up to 20 bar.
Zero Pressure Differential Operation:
The direct acting design ensures the valve opens reliably every time, even with 0 bar in the line. This unique combination of high pressure and zero start is its key advantage.
Fast and Reliable Response:
With its direct lift mechanism, the 2WH series offers a fast and positive response for critical on-off applications.
Robust Forged Brass Body:
The heavy-duty forged brass body is engineered to safely withstand the continuous stress of high-pressure operation, ensuring a long service life.
Normally Closed (NC) and Normally Open (NO) Options:
This series is available in both Normally Closed (fail-safe closed) and Normally Open (fail-safe open) configurations to meet diverse system requirements.
Application Fields
The Solution for Demanding High Pressure Control:
Pressure Testing Equipment: Perfect for controlling the pressurization and venting of test circuits for vessels and components.
High-Pressure Cleaning Systems: A robust valve for controlling the flow of high-pressure water or air for industrial cleaning.
Gas Bottling & Control: Suitable for controlling the flow of non-corrosive gases in high-pressure filling or distribution systems.
Hydraulic Power Packs: Can be used on the pilot or drain lines of certain low-viscosity hydraulic systems.
Air Cannons & Dust Removal: Providing the fast, high-pressure release of air needed for industrial air cannon systems.
Technical & Selection Guide
When to Choose the 2WH High Pressure Direct Acting Valve
The 2WH series is a specialized valve. Choose it when:
Your maximum operating pressure is between 10 bar and 20 bar.
Your system pressure might drop to 0 bar during a cycle.
You need the reliability of a direct acting design in a high-pressure environment.
For standard pressures (below 10 bar), our 2W series is the more economical choice. For high pressures that are always above 1 bar, a pilot-operated valve (like our SLG series) may offer higher flow rates.
FAQ
Frequently Asked questions
Q: What is the main difference between the 2WH and the 2W series?
A: Pressure rating. The 2WH series is designed for high pressures up to 20 bar (290 psi), while the standard 2W series is intended for lower, general-purpose pressures (typically up to 10 bar).
Q: Why is a "high pressure direct acting" valve special?
A: It's a difficult engineering challenge. Most high-pressure valves are pilot-operated, meaning they need line pressure to help them open. A high pressure direct acting valve uses a very powerful solenoid to open against high pressure on its own, which allows it to also work at 0 pressure. This makes it extremely versatile.
Q: Can this valve be used for steam?
A: No. The standard seals in the 2WH series are rated for a maximum of 80°C, which is below the temperature of steam. For steam, you must use a dedicated high-temperature valve with PTFE seals.
