Features & Key Specifications:
Durable & Lightweight PA Actuator:
The engineering plastic (PA) actuator provides excellent resistance to corrosion and mechanical impact while being significantly lighter than its metal counterpart, simplifying installation.
Robust 304/316 Stainless Steel Valve Body:
The wetted parts are constructed from high-quality stainless steel, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of media and suitability for hygienic or corrosive applications.
Exceptional High Flow Rate:
The Y-pattern, angled seat design minimizes turbulence and pressure drop, allowing for the highest possible flow capacity, ideal for rapid filling and draining tasks.
High Temperature & Steam Service:
When equipped with FKM seals, this valve reliably handles media temperatures up to 150°C, making it a proven and dependable steam valve.
Hygienic Tri-Clamp Option:
In addition to threaded connections, this series is available with Tri-Clamp ends, making it a perfect food grade angle seat valve for the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries.
Visual Position Indicator:
A clear indicator on top of the actuator provides an immediate visual confirmation of the valve's open or closed status.
Application Fields
The Industry Standard for General and Demanding Applications:
Steam & Hot Water Control: The most common choice for autoclaves, sterilizers, industrial laundry, and process heating.
Food & Beverage: A cost-effective and reliable option for hygienic Tri-Clamp systems controlling CIP fluids, process water, and other food products.
Pharmaceutical & Biotech: Used in pure water systems, bioreactors, and other sanitary processes.
Chemical Industry: Handling a wide range of compatible corrosive fluids where a full stainless actuator is not required.
General Industrial: The workhorse valve for any application requiring high-flow, high-cycle, and long-lasting fluid control.
Technical & Selection Guide
Why Choose the Plastic Actuator Version?
Best Value: It offers nearly identical performance to the all-stainless version for most applications but at a more accessible price point.
Reduced Weight: The lightweight plastic actuator reduces structural load and makes handling and installation, especially for large valve sizes, much easier.
Proven Reliability: The PA material is a robust engineering polymer designed for millions of cycles in typical industrial environments.
You should consider the all-stainless steel actuator version only if the external environment is extremely corrosive (e.g., constant exposure to harsh chemical fumes) or if a specific plant specification requires all-metal construction.
FAQ
Frequently Asked questions
Q: What is the actuator made of?
A: The actuator housing is made of a high-strength, durable engineering polymer, typically PA (Polyamide, also known as Nylon).
Q: Is the plastic actuator as durable as a metal one?
A: For internal performance and cycle life, it is extremely durable. It also offers excellent resistance to many chemicals and general industrial wear and tear. For external environments with extreme chemical exposure, a stainless steel actuator may be preferred.
Q: Can I still use this valve for steam, even with a plastic actuator?
A: Yes. The actuator is isolated from the hot media by the valve's stem and packing. The valve's temperature rating (up to 150°C) is determined by the stainless steel body and the internal seals (FKM), not the actuator material.
