Features & Key Specifications
Features & Key Specifications of Our SLG Series:
Extreme High Pressure Capability:
Purpose-built for demanding systems, this valve can handle gas pressures up to 50 bar and liquid pressures up to 40 bar, making it a versatile high-pressure process valve.
High Temperature Resistance up to 150°C:
The combination of a robust brass body, a high-performance coil, and durable PTFE seals allows this valve to operate continuously with media temperatures up to 150°C, perfect for steam and hot water.
Durable PTFE Sealing:
Equipped with PTFE (Teflon) seals, which provide excellent resistance to high temperatures and a wide range of chemicals, ensuring a long, leak-free service life in harsh conditions.
Robust Forged Brass Body:
The heavy-duty forged brass body is designed to withstand high pressures and resist mechanical stress, providing a reliable and durable foundation for the valve.
Pilot Operated for High Flow:
The diaphragm pilot design allows for high flow rates, making it suitable for controlling main process lines, not just small pilot applications.
Application Fields
The Professional Choice for Extreme Process Conditions:
Steam Control: The perfect steam solenoid valve for autoclaves, sterilizers, industrial laundry equipment, and process heating systems.
Boiler & HVAC Systems: Ideal for boiler blowdown, condensate lines, and high-temperature heating loops.
High Pressure Air Systems: Controlling high-pressure air for applications like pressure testing, molding, and industrial cleaning.
Industrial Washing & Cleaning: Reliably handling high-pressure, hot water in industrial washing machines.
Process Automation: Any fluid control application that exceeds the pressure and temperature limits of standard solenoid valves.
Technical & Selection Guide
When to Choose the SLG High Pressure / High Temp Valve
You must upgrade from a general-purpose valve to a specialized process valve like the SLG when your application involves:
High Temperatures: Any media above 80-90°C, especially steam, requires a high-temperature rated valve with PTFE or similar seals.
High Pressures: Any pressure above the standard 10-16 bar range requires a valve specifically designed for high-pressure service.
Combined Extremes: The SLG series is specifically designed for the toughest applications where BOTH high temperature and high pressure are present.
FAQ
Frequently Asked questions
Q: Can I use this for low-pressure applications?
A: No. As a pilot-operated valve, the SLG series requires a minimum pressure of 1 bar to open reliably. For applications with pressure below 1 bar, a direct-acting valve is required.
Q: What makes this valve suitable for steam?
A: Three key features: the 150°C temperature rating, the PTFE seals which are highly resistant to steam, and the robust brass body. This combination makes it a reliable steam solenoid valve.
Q: Is this considered a process valve?
A: Yes, absolutely. Due to its high pressure and temperature ratings and robust construction, the SLG series is classified as a process valve, designed for demanding industrial fluid control rather than simple pneumatic applications.
