Features & Key Specifications
Features & Key Specifications of Our AL Series:
Proportional Oil Delivery:
The lubricator atomizes and delivers an oil mist that is proportional to the air flow, ensuring your equipment receives the correct amount of lubrication whether it's operating at high or low speeds.
Precise Drip Rate Adjustment:
A clear sight dome and top-mounted adjustment knob allow for easy visual monitoring and fine-tuning of the oil drip rate, giving you complete control over the lubrication level.
Easy, Pressurized Refill:
The polycarbonate bowl can be refilled with oil without shutting down your air system, minimizing downtime and simplifying maintenance. A metal bowl guard comes standard for protection.
Full Range of Port Sizes (M5 to 1"):
To accommodate everything from small air tools to large industrial air motors, this series is available in a comprehensive range of port sizes, including M5, 1/8", 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 3/4", and 1".
Modular Design for Flexibility:
Designed for versatility, the AL series can be easily connected to our AF (filter) and AR (regulator) units to create a custom FRL assembly.
Application Fields
Protecting Your Investment in Pneumatic Equipment:
Pneumatic Tools: Essential for protecting impact wrenches, grinders, sanders, nail guns, and other air tools from premature wear.
Pneumatic Motors: Providing the continuous lubrication required for air motors used in mixers, conveyors, and other machinery.
High-Duty Cylinders: In some high-speed or heavy-load applications, lubrication can reduce friction and extend the life of cylinder seals.
Automotive & Maintenance Workshops: A must-have component on any air line used for servicing vehicles or machinery.
Manufacturing & Assembly: Ensuring the longevity of lubricated pneumatic components on the factory floor.
Technical & Selection Guide
When Do You Need an Air Lubricator?
While many modern pneumatic components are "non-lube," a lubricator is still critical for:
All Air Tools & Pneumatic Motors: These devices have rapidly moving internal parts that depend on a constant oil mist to prevent seizure and wear.
Legacy Equipment: Older pneumatic cylinders and valves were often designed with the expectation of lubricated air.
Specific OEM Requirements: Always follow the manufacturer's recommendation for the pneumatic device you are powering.
Important: Once an air line has been lubricated, it should always remain lubricated. Do not use an unlubricated component downstream of a lubricator.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What type of oil should I use?
A: Always use a high-quality oil specifically formulated for pneumatic systems, such as Turbine Oil No.1 (ISO VG32). Do not use hydraulic oil or motor oil.
Q: How do I know how much oil to add?
A: Adjust the knob on top while air is flowing and observe the drip rate in the sight dome. A common starting point is 1-2 drops per minute, but you should always consult the manual for the tool or device you are lubricating for the precise recommendation.
Q: What is the difference between this AL series and the AC series?
A: The AL series is a standalone lubricator unit. The AC series is a full FRL combination that includes a filter, a regulator, AND a lubricator.
