Features & Key Specifications
Features & Key Specifications of Our SL Series:
Full 316 Stainless Steel Construction:
The lubricator body and bowl are both constructed from SS316 stainless steel, offering the highest level of resistance to corrosion from cleaning agents, chemicals, and saline environments.
High-Pressure Operation (up to 1.6 MPa):
Designed for demanding industrial systems, this lubricator operates reliably at a working pressure up to 1.6 MPa (16 bar / 232 PSI).
Precise Oil Mist Adjustment:
The top-mounted adjustment needle allows for fine control of the oil drip rate, enabling you to set the perfect oil-to-air ratio for your specific application and tooling requirements.
High Flow, Low Pressure Drop Design:
Engineered for efficiency, the lubricator delivers lubrication without significantly restricting air flow, ensuring your equipment operates at peak power.
Universal Thread Options (BSPP, BSPT, NPT):
To ensure global compatibility, we offer three thread standards: G (BSPP) for most regions, P (BSPT), and T (NPT) for the North American market.
Easy Refill Capability:
Designed for convenience, the oil reservoir can be refilled easily, often without shutting down the main air supply, minimizing production downtime.
Application Fields
Extending Equipment Life in Critical Industries:
Food & Beverage Processing: Lubricating pneumatic motors and actuators in sanitary environments (requires food-grade H1 lubricant).
Pharmaceutical & Chemical Plants: Providing reliable lubrication in corrosive atmospheres where standard lubricators would degrade.
Marine & Offshore: A durable, saltwater-resistant lubricator for pneumatic tools and equipment used on ships and platforms.
Mining & Heavy Industry: Protecting high-torque pneumatic motors and heavy-duty cylinders from premature wear.
General Manufacturing: For any air line that powers pneumatic tools like grinders, impact wrenches, and sanders.
Technical & Selection Guide
When is a Lubricator Necessary?
In modern pneumatics, many components are designed for "non-lube" service. However, a lubricator is still essential for:
Pneumatic Motors & Air Tools: These devices rely on a consistent oil mist for internal lubrication to prevent wear and ensure a long service life.
Older Cylinders & Valves: Some legacy pneumatic components were designed with the expectation of lubricated air.
High-Speed or High-Load Applications: In some demanding applications, lubrication can help reduce friction and wear, even for components rated as non-lube.
Important Note: Do not introduce a lubricator into a system that has previously been run without one, as it can wash out the factory grease and make future lubrication mandatory.
FAQ
Frequently Asked questions
Q: What is the maximum pressure this lubricator can handle?
A: The maximum working pressure for the SL series is 1.6 MPa, which is equivalent to 16 bar or approximately 232 PSI.
Q: What kind of oil should I use in this lubricator?
A: You should use a high-quality lubricant specifically designed for pneumatic systems, such as Turbine Oil No.1 ISO VG32. For food or pharmaceutical applications, a certified food-grade (H1) pneumatic lubricant must be used.
Q: How do I adjust the oil drip rate?
A: There is typically a clear dome on top of the lubricator. You can see the oil dripping through it. Use the adjustment screw on top to increase or decrease the frequency of the drips until you achieve the desired lubrication level (often 1-2 drops per minute, but check your tool's requirements).
Q: Why choose a stainless steel lubricator?
A: You must choose a full 316 stainless steel lubricator if the unit will be exposed to moisture, chemical splashes, frequent washdowns, or if you are working in a hygienic, food-grade environment.
