AC Series (FRL): Choose this full filter-regulator-lubricator combo if your system includes components that require oil mist lubrication, like air motors or certain pneumatic tools.

AW Series (FR): Choose a filter-regulator combination if your system uses modern, "non-lube" cylinders and valves, and you only need clean, regulated air.

Auto Drain vs. Semi-Auto Drain:

Semi-Auto (Standard): Drains automatically when the system is depressurized. Requires manual draining during operation.

Auto Drain (Optional): Automatically ejects water whenever a certain level is reached, regardless of pressure. Ideal for systems with high moisture or for "fit-and-forget" maintenance.

Q: What is an FRL unit for?
A: An FRL unit is a critical component that "prepares" the compressed air from your compressor before it reaches your pneumatic devices. It cleans the air (Filter), controls the pressure (Regulator), and in some cases, adds lubrication (Lubricator).

Q: Can I use this unit to replace my existing SMC AC series FRL?
A: Yes. Our AC series is designed to be dimensionally and functionally interchangeable with the SMC AC series, making it a great choice for direct replacement and maintenance.

Q: Do I always need a lubricator?
A: No. Most modern pneumatic cylinders and valves are pre-lubricated for life and do not require additional oil. A lubricator is primarily needed for air tools (grinders, wrenches) and pneumatic motors. Adding oil to a non-lube system is generally not recommended.
