Features & Key Specifications
Features & Key Specifications of Our SPEG Series:
In-Line Branch Reduction:
The reducing tee design allows you to easily create a smaller-diameter branch from a larger main line, such as tapping an 8mm line off a 12mm main run, without needing multiple fittings.
Convenient Mounting Hole:
A pass-through hole in the center of the fitting allows it to be securely fastened to a machine frame or panel, providing extra stability for your pneumatic plumbing.
Premium Stainless Steel Construction:
Available in both 304 and 316 stainless steel, these fittings offer exceptional resistance to corrosion, chemicals, and high temperatures.
Comprehensive Size Combinations:
We stock a full range of common reduction sizes to fit any system, covering both metric and inch tube combinations.
Food-Grade & Oil-Free Design:
Manufactured to be oil-free and compliant with the Food Hygiene Law, our food grade tee fittings are safe for use in sanitary applications.
Application Fields
Branching Off Your Main Air Line with Precision:
Supplying Sub-Circuits: Tapping off a main air header to supply individual machines or smaller pneumatic circuits.
Pilot Air Lines: Providing a smaller branch line to supply pilot air to actuated process valves.
Sensor & Gauge Installation: Creating a reduced-size line for connecting pressure sensors or gauges.
Food & Beverage Machinery: A hygienic stainless steel reducing tee for complex routing on processing and packaging equipment.
Technical & Selection Guide
How to Select a Reducing Tee
Choosing the right reducing tee is simple:
Identify the Outside Diameter (OD) of your main, straight-through tube (e.g., 10mm).
Identify the Outside Diameter (OD) of your smaller, branch tube (e.g., 6mm).
Select the corresponding part number (e.g., S-PEG10-06-10).
This fitting is ideal for creating a 90-degree branch. For other configurations, a combination of straight reducers and equal tees may be used.
FAQ
Frequently Asked questions
Q: What does "reducing union tee" mean?
A: It's a T-shaped fitting designed to connect three tubes, where the two straight-through ports are for a larger tube size, and the center branch port is for a smaller tube size.
Q: Can I use this fitting in a washdown environment?
A: Yes, the 316 stainless steel construction is designed to withstand the water and cleaning chemicals used in industrial washdown procedures, making it a perfect choice for the food and beverage industry.
Q: What is the pressure rating for these fittings?
A: Our stainless steel push-in fittings are rated for a working pressure of 0 to 1.0 MPa (10 bar) and a maximum pressure of 1.5 MPa (15 bar).
