I. Product Purpose

In pulse-jet filtration systems, the electromagnetic pulse valve is the critical executive component. It acts as a rapid-response gate for compressed air, delivering the kinetic energy required to dislodge dust cakes from filter media. By regulating the cleaning cycle, these valves ensure the system operates at a stable pressure drop, directly impacting the longevity of filter bags and the overall environmental compliance of the facility.

II. Working Principle

The functionality of the pulse valve is based on the balance of air pressure between the front and rear diaphragm chambers:

  1. Pressure Loading: As compressed air fills the system, it travels through a throttle orifice into the rear chamber. Due to the larger surface area of the diaphragm on the rear side, it is held firmly against the valve seat.

  2. Actuation: Upon receiving a micro-second signal from the pulse jet controller, the solenoid pilot opens. The air in the rear chamber is exhausted to the atmosphere faster than it can be replenished through the throttle hole.

  3. Pulse Delivery: The pressure in the front chamber overcomes the residual rear pressure, forcing the diaphragm open and allowing a high-volume air pulse to exit toward the blowpipes.

  4. Re-sealing: When the signal ends, the pilot closes, allowing pressure to equalize in the rear chamber and re-seat the diaphragm.

III. Installation and Use Standards

To ensure the reliability of the pulse cleaning system, the following technical standards must be adhered to:

  • Piping Requirements: Use metal piping for the connection between the valve inlet and the air header (compressed air tank). Ensure all threaded connections are tightly sealed with PTFE (Teflon) tape to prevent leaks that can lead to system-wide pressure drops.

  • Pressure Management: The working pressure of the system must be strictly controlled within the range of 0.3MPa to 0.8MPa.

    • Pressure < 0.3MPa: May result in insufficient cleaning force and increased baghouse differential pressure.

    • Pressure > 0.8MPa: Can lead to premature diaphragm fatigue and potential damage to the filter media.

  • Air Source Integrity: The compressed air supply must be clean and dry. It is vital that the interior of the air tank is free from rust, welding slag, and other contaminants. These particles can obstruct the throttle hole, causing the valve to fail in either the open or closed position.

  • Control Methods:

    • Direct Control: Utilizing electromagnetic pulse valves paired with DMK-type controllers.

    • Remote Control: Utilizing pneumatic pulse valves connected to a centralized remote solenoid valve group for complex or hazardous environments.
